GLASSBLOWING
New Low Pricing by the Piece
Up to 4 people per 1-hour session.
A $40 deposit per person is required and will be applied to your selected piece.
Piece prices include all materials.
Glassblowing: By the Piece Note: The Glassblowing studio will be closed from Sept. 7 - 30th.
Classes resume Oct. 2nd.
Class registration will be open during the shut down.
Days & Times: Thursday – Saturday; 10 & 11 AM, 1, 2 or 3:30 PM - These hours will resume in October
Summer Hours: Thursday - Saturday; 10 & 11:30 AM, 1:30 & 3 PM - It's very HOT, so our artists need extra breaks!
Please arrive 15 minutes early to choose and pay for your item.
Cancellations or reschedules require 24 hours' notice;
otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable and there will be a $25/person rescheduling fee.
Your finished artwork will typically be ready for pickup after 48 hours.
If you plan to come by sooner, just give us a quick call to make sure it’s ready.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know least 24 hours in advance.
Otherwise, your deposit will be non-refundable. We appreciate your understanding.

DATE NIGHTS
Date Night: 1st Friday of the Month!
Have Fun and Learn Glassblowing at the same night! The 1st Friday is Date Night at Benzaiten. Each couple receives a drink of wine or beer. You get to mingle with other couples.
Couples can make either one glassblown item like a vase or a floppy bowl or each person can make a hot-sculpted piece such as a heart or a flower.
Two Time Slots: 5-7 PM or 7-9 PM Available
Up to 4 Couples a Time Slot
$150 per Couple

FLAMEWORKING
Flameworking
Flameworking is a type of glasswork in which a small torch, mounted to table, is used to melt rods of glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is shaped using hand movements, tools and sometimes by blowing.
Beginner Flameworking I:
1.5 Hours
Days offered: Fridays & Saturdays
Sept 8 - 30, Days will be Thursdays & Fridays

Cost: $65 per Person
In this 1 ½ hour introduction you will receive personal step-by-step instruction on creating a beginner level flameworking piece such as a pendant, marble, or sculptural work. We will cover safety, use of tools, and color application.

FUSING

Fusing
Fusing is a type of glasswork in which room temperature color glass is layered in a design or pattern and then put into a kiln where the glass fuses together into one piece. Come be adventurous and learn about the varied possibilities of glass fusing!

From time to time the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts will put together some fun and educational workshops for extending the knowledge of the citizens of Palm Beach County. Some will be for people without any prior artistic experience while others will be targeted towards our artistic community in order to offer a more in-depth experience via some of our renowned 'Visiting Artists.' Glass Enameling Workshop

Explore an exciting new way to work with glass-learn enameling techniques! You will learn how to sift glass enamel powders onto precut copper shapes to create beautiful jewelry pieces. The results are amazing!
We will teach you all about proper materials, shop safety when using enamel powders and how to create intricate designs on small surfaces.

Fused Glass Tabletop Workshop
Days: Saturday, April 5, 2025
Times: 10AM - 2PM
Cost: $475
In this beginner friendly class, students will design and create a
10” x10” fused glass tabletop. Students will learn to score and cut glass. You will embellish your unique design with glass stringers, frit and paint. After creating your piece, it will then be fired in the kiln.
Your instructor will let you know when your table is ready to be picked up.
A welded steel, side table height base, by metal artist Steve Bush is included in the class.
Closed toe shoes required.
New 6-Week Course
Foundations in Flameworking
With Geoff Platt:
During our new 6 week evening classes we will be learning first hand the art of Flameworking. Using a high intensity flame and various forms of borosilicate glass, our students will be instructed and assisted in the skills required to start an introductory practice in the studio. We will be covering shaping and patterning techniques with a variety of colors and forms. Our goal to create a foundational understanding of this exciting hot-glass art form.
Day & Time: Tuesdays 6 - 9 pm
