The Board of Directors of the Living Arts Foundation and its development team is distinguished by its depth, breadth and experience. The Board includes leaders in the fields of the Arts, Arts Funding, Business, Community Development, Real Estate, and Law.


JoAnne Berkow

JoAnne (JB) Berkow is a highly regarded artist, business owner and philanthropist. In 1976, at age twenty-six she founded the most successful cooperative gallery in the country, Touchstone Gallery in Washington, D.C.. She began Frenchman’s Art Gallery and Studios in Juno Beach, Florida in 1995, and in 2005 she opened Rosetta Stone Fine Art Gallery. Her artwork has been shown in numerous galleries, universities and museums around the country. Her work is in some impressive permanent collections including Boston University, Palm Beach International Airport and the Contemporary Art Collection at the Vatican in Italy.

Besides promoting her own work she has spent most of her professional life promoting the work of other talented emerging and mid-career artists. Ms. Berkow’s ardent desire is to educate the public about the importance of art in our everyday lives. Ms. Berkow is also a published author of three books, Shades of Love, What They Didn’t Teach You In Art and Painted Poetry. She has served on many boards, is an active member of Executive Women of the Palm Beaches and is a past president for the National Association of Women Artists, FL Chapter.

steveSteven A. Tendrich

Steven A. Tendrich began his career in 1960, and today is widely regarded as one of South Florida’s top retirement industry real estate developers. Mr. Tendrich has developed more than four thousand residential homes, shopping centers, office buildings, and Senior Living Communities.

Mr. Tendrich served as executive vice president of CRSA Corporation, a Senior Living development and management company. As president of National Investment Company, he led a team that oversaw the development of Devonshire at PGA National, the acclaimed Continuing Care Community in Palm Beach Gardens.

Currently, Mr. Tendrich serves as vice president of NuVista at Wellington Green, a prestigious, senior resort community located in Wellington, Florida. Mr. Tendrich once sat on the board of directors of the American Red Cross, and formerly sat on the board and development committee of the Miami Jewish Home for the Aging.

billBill Roebel, CIC

Bill has been a professional Insurance Agent for over forty years. He was the President and founder of INSURIT, INC and INSURIT GROUP employing 15 insurance professionals in an Independent Insurance Agency. An active entrepreneur, Mr. Roebel has also formed, owned, and run other successful retail, manufacturing, and real estate businesses. As investor and manager, his other successful business interests have included Roebel Properties, Ltd., Three Rivers Beauty Supply, Wedgewood Development Corp., B & R Properties, LLP, R & B Properties, LLP, Ruffalo-Benson (equity investment group), Newell Industrial, LLC, Orland Duck Club, LLP (200 acre Wildlife Habitat), and W & R Realty, LLP.

During his insurance career he served in varisous board capacities with the Independent Insurance Agents Association and the Professional Insurance Agents Association, as well as serving on the Agent's Advisory Boards of Secura Insurance Company, Monroe Guaranty Insurance Company, American States and others.

Bill’s lifelong commitment to the community is evidenced by his over 25 years of service on a wide variety of community service and advisory boards including Newell Industrial, LLC, Ruffalo-Benson, LLC, Grabill Bank Corporation, Junior Achievement of Allen County, Inc., Optimist International (past local President and State of Indiana Lt. Governor), Holy Cross Lutheran Church/School, and Civic Theatre Fort Wayne. He is presently semi-retired, but still provides employee benefits and insurance counseling for select clients. His commitment to the arts is also a lifelong passion He is an avid collector and patron of visual arts, and is a noted collector in the Fort Wayne area.

honeyHoney Bryan

Honey Bryan is a native of Palm Beach County, Florida and is a highly experienced and driven Licensed Real Estate Broker and Mortgage Broker. Throughout her career, she has assisted clients in consummating transactions for the sale, acquisition, leasing, development and/or financing of retail, office, industrial and investment properties throughout the South Florida market. She has served as a consultant and collaborated extensively with clients and land planning professionals to facilitate land use and zoning changes of land for the development of multifamily, retail and industrial projects. She is currently working on obtaining a designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM).

Honey is active in numerous professional organizations such as National Network of Commercial Real Estate Woman (NNCREW), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and Realtors Commercial Alliance (RCA). She currently serves on the Planning and Zoning Appeals Board for the City of Palm Beach Gardens and recently served on the Arts in Public Places Advisory Board. In an effort to give back to her community, Honey is a board member of the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts and has also served on the executive boards of Seagull Industries for the Disabled; Give a Life Foundation and PEO.


Ms. Levien works closely with families’ personal, corporate retirement and estate plans as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. She is currently working on her designation as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst. Being an avid art collector, she is an active philanthropist and supporter of the arts. Syndie Levien has gravitated towards the non-profit world, which has given her the opportunity to utilize her wealth management skills, consultative expertise and professional networking skills to enhance her own art of “giving back”. Having 32 years’ experience estate planning and portfolio management, she strives to fully understand what is holistically important to others. She is currently employed with UBS Financial Services Inc.

Ms. Levien is an active member of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches and The Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council but also supports numerous other community groups. Recently transplanted from Ocala Florida, Syndie gave 26 years of service on community and advisory boards including Ocala-Marion County Chamber of Commerce in Education, Junior Achievement of Marion County FL, Marion County Florida Estate Planning Council, Toast Masters International , Altrusa International , Munroe Regional Hospital Foundation, Central Florida Community College, Royal Dames for Cancer Research, the Ocala Symphony and the Executive Women of Marion County. She also hosted two AM and FM radio shows “Focus on the Arts” and “Understanding Investments”.

Sherry HymanSherry L. Hyman

Sherry L. Hyman is a licensed Florida attorney. She has been practicing law in Palm Beach County, Florida since 1976. She is Board Certified in Real Estate Law, a Certified Florida Mediator and a Qualified Florida Arbitrator.

She has served as General Counsel for companies in the business of acquiring, developing, financing, designing, constructing, marketing, mortgaging, syndicating, managing and selling commercial, residential and industrial projects in Florida, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont.

She continues to represent real estate developers, private Equity Clubs, homeowners associations, architectural firms as well as individuals involved in residential, commercial and industrial real estate transactions. She also represents companies in the business of financing, acquiring and managing the recreational facilities in large scale residential communities throughout the state.

Ms. Hyman has served on numerous governmental boards and committees including: the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, West Palm Beach Downtown/Uptown Selection Advisory Committee, West Palm Beach Beautification Committee, Palm Beach County Judicial Complex Advisory Committee, Palm Beach County Zoning Commission and West Palm Beach Nuisance Abatement Board.

Bonnie OsherBonnie Osher

Bonnie Osher received a B.S. degree with a double major in Education and Fine Arts from the University of Michigan. She is a Producer and Angel of Broadway, National and International road show productions of Carole King's Beautiful, Matilda, Book of Mormon (USA, UK and Australia), Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill (Billie Holiday), The Jersey Boys, Woody Allen's Bullets Over Broadway, The Wedding Singer, Hairspray, The Producers, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, A Catered Affair and other productions and has numerous nominations and won many Tony and Grammy awards. She was Vice President of Marketing for Cap Toys and developed such famous toys as The Giant Bubble Gun, Stretch Armstrong, and The Spin Pop. Bonnie also was the Founder/Owner of JBJ Enterprises Inc. a pioneer developer of the children’s collectible sticker industry and creator and manufacturer of the first children’s interactive clothing line. Ms. Osher served on the board of Rainbow and Babies Hospital in Cleveland, OH and is a board member of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and served as a board member of Playhouse Square in Cleveland, Ohio. She is an active supporter and committee member of various charities and the co-founder of Women Mentoring Women (WMW), a free consulting group for Michigan women entrepreneurs. She is a founding member of the national organization of Women Against Alzheimer's/US Against Alzheimer's. Ms. Osher is the founder/creator/parent but no longer the director of grown children, Jay Tapper and Jill Katz.

Angela KenyonAngela Kenyon, C.P.A

Angela has been a south Florida resident since 1976 and is a highly regarded executive in the Commercial Real Estate Industry representing brands such as Burger King, Dunkin Brands, Starbucks and currently P.F. Chang’s group. Throughout her career she has created lucrative brand growth throughout the country by developing new units and managing the real estate, design and construction aspects of major brands. She has led great teams of people to accomplish challenging growth goals and is responsible for the majority of the Starbucks locations in Florida.

Angela is also an avid athlete and has participated in many triathlons and marathons, including New York Marathon, Marine Corp Marathon, Disney Marathon and San Diego Rock ‘n Roll Marathon. She has a passion for the arts communities in South Florida and is actively involved in The Arts Garage, Delray Beach and School House Square Arts in Delray Beach and now an active board member of Benzaiten. She has served as President of Dade County International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is an active member in this organization as well as 100 Women Who Care and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Angela is a University of Florida graduate of accounting and is a C.P.A. residing in beautiful Delray Beach, Florida.

Marti LaTourMarti M. LaTour

Marti M. LaTour is a limited partner of BELLE Capital, LP, a women’s angel fund that invests in women owned or run start-up companies. Marti previously served as a Vice President Wealth Advisor at BMO Private Bank and as a Vice President and Financial Advisor at Bernstein Global Wealth Management. Marti carries Series 7 and 66 licenses. Prior to the financial industry, Marti worked for PepsiCo as one of six business-unit sales directors in the US responsible for net sales of $346 million, and directed 15 key account managers throughout the Southeast. Prior to that, she was Vice President of the Florida Division of PepsiAmericas, where she directed a 640-person sales operation and was a founding member of the firm’s Diversity Advisory Council. Marti received both a BA in business and marketing (with high honors) and an MBA with a concentration in finance, business and marketing from Lewis University. While there, she earned the Academic Excellence Award and was a member of the University Honor Organization and the Gamma Chi chapter of the Delta Epsilon Sigma national scholastic honor society.

Active in the community, Marti has been listed in Florida Trend magazine’s “Must-Know Contacts” of Palm Beach County, and has served as a member of the Criminal Justice Commission of Palm Beach County, the Kravis Center corporate partner executive committee and Friends of the Kravis Center, Advisory Board for Cystic Fibrosis and the Board of Directors of Keep Florida Beautiful. She is currently on the boards of the Palm Beach County Food Bank, Economic Council of Palm Beach County, YWCA, Angel Forum of Florida and the Advisory Boards of Florida Atlantic University’s Tech Runway and College of Arts and Letters. She was nominated for the Athena Award of Palm Beach County in 2010. Was awarded Coalition Business Leader by the Palm Beach County Substance Awareness Coalition and was nominated for Women of the Year by the Northern Palm Beach Chamber in 2013.

Stacey LevyStacey K. Levy

Stacey Levy received a B.S. degree in Special Needs for Children and Adults from University of Miami. Stacey started her career as an event planner and continued to build a successful Event and Party Planning Business for over 10 years. Stacey has twice been the President of both the Jewish Community Center in Boynton Beach and West Palm Beach. During her time with the JCC she instituted a summer camp program for special needs children at both JCC locations and is still active to this day. She was previously an active member of various charitable and non for-profit organizations including Susan G. Komen Key For The Cure, The Kravis Center, Weizmann Institute of Science, and the Lyric Theater in Stuart Florida. Stacey enjoys botany and gardening and maintains a beautiful residence with various gardens and trees.
